My Approach

Hey there! I'm Marvin Chaffin, a licensed therapist, life coach, and consultant with over thirty years of experience working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges. Life can present obstacles and uncertainties, and that's where my expertise comes in. As a therapist, my goal is to help you navigate through life's complexities and address any issues you may be grappling with.

With a background in various therapeutic modalities such as person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness approaches, and radical acceptance, I am well-equipped to tailor our sessions to best suit your needs. I believe in an interactive therapeutic approach, ensuring open lines of communication between us. How it Works

My counseling services are exclusively conducted through a variety of secure telehealth platforms. Prior to our scheduled session, you will be provided with a unique and secure link via text or email. Each session will be assigned a fresh link, ensuring the utmost privacy and security for our interactions. Sessions typically run for approximately fifty minutes but can be extended if necessary. It is crucial to create a peaceful and conducive environment for our session to ensure that you derive the maximum benefit.

You have the flexibility to connect with me from any location of your choice, except when you are driving or in a noisy public setting. Maintaining a distraction-free environment is vital for our therapy sessions to be effective. In case of external disruptions, using earbuds can help mitigate any noise-related issues.

For communication in-between sessions, you can reach out to me via text using your regular messaging app or on WhatsApp at 850.390.3329. I will make every effort to respond to your messages promptly. If you or someone you know is experiencing a significant crisis or facing a life-threatening situation, please contact 911 or the local emergency services number in your State or Province.

Payment is due at the time of service. While I do not currently accept insurance, I do collaborate with various Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). I strive to offer affordable rates to ensure that counseling is accessible to a broader audience. Payment methods accepted include PayPal or Venmo.

If you need to cancel your therapy appointment, kindly provide a minimum of 24 hours notice. This allows me to manage my schedule effectively. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a fee equivalent to half of the agreed-upon rate. For cancellations within four hours of the appointment or for no-shows, the full rate will be charged.

Prioritizing your mental well-being involves committing to regular therapy sessions. Consistency in attending sessions can lead to significant enhancements in your overall mental health.
